Volvo Introduces Australia’s First Zero-Emissions Emergency Vehicle

Volvo Group Australia has unveiled the country’s inaugural zero-emissions emergency vehicle at the recent AFAC conference. This groundbreaking initiative is the result of a collaboration between Volvo Group and the ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA). The showcased vehicle, named the Volvo Electric Emergency Services Truck, is Australia’s first battery electric truck designed for emergency services. It was presented to attendees at the Australasian Fire and Authorities (AFAC) conference. The vehicle is expected to commence operational service in the ACT in early 2024, marking a significant step towards sustainable emergency services solutions.
