The Victorian branch of the Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) has launched the inaugural Recognition Awards, in conjunction with Sothertons Chartered Accountants and APICS Victoria.
The SCLAA Young Supply Chain Professional, Service to Industry, and Industry Leaders Awards are designed to recognise the people who work in the transport, supply chain & logistics industries in Victoria and will become an automatic feeder program for the SCLAA Australian Supply Chain & Logistics Awards each year.
The Young Supply Chain Professional Award has been designed to recognise and nurture future leaders through support and development opportunities in the initial phases an individual’s supply chain career. The aim of the award is to recognise outstanding up and coming member’s contributions to the supply chain and logistics industry. The goal is to motivate and retain high performers and to act as an incentive for the industries future leaders.
The Service to Industry Award, sponsored by Sothertons Chartered Accountants, is designed to recognise the contributions and support of individuals who helped shape the supply chain and logistics industry as we know it today. These key leaders forged ahead and pioneered new and innovative ideas which we take for granted and accept today as standard practice.
The Industry Leaders Award, sponsored by APICS Victoria, is designed to recognise the contribution of companies, institutions and/or organisations that have a proven record in supporting their employees via a solid learning foundation and development opportunities in the transport, supply chain & logistics industries. This includes, but is not limited to, education or training (formal or in-house), flexible work practices, workforce development, and support in career progression.
Nominations for all award categories must be received by Friday, 2 October 2009. To access an application form and award criteria please contact the SCLAA on email@example.com or phone (03) 9895 4467.
