Australia bucks falling airfreight trend

The latest airfreight statistics show that the Australian economy is still doing much better than its overseas counterparts, with both import and export airfreight showing an upward trend.
The surge in exports is due to perishables, while imports of high value products are driving import totals up. Melbourne Airport is still holding its lead on exports, but only just.
