Procter and Gamble to sell off warehouse equipment
GraysOnline will be auctioning a range of plant and office equipment from Procter & Gamble’s former manufacturing plant in Somersby, Central Coast NSW. The unreserved auction will commence on 15 October 2009 at 4:00pm AEST and end on 21 October 2009 at 4:00pm AEST. An inspection of the assets will occur on-site on Tuesday 20 October from 9:00am to 4:00pm AEST.
The plant was the original production site for Clairol and Wella Professional and Retail Hair products. The site’s processing and packaging machinery, warehousing equipment, and general IT and office equipment are among the items to be auctioned.
“All the items up for auction are still in very good condition, with most items between two and six years old. Everything must be cleared. Being an unreserved auction, this is an ideal opportunity for businesses that are looking for reliable and quality equipment at significantly reduced costs,” said Jolie Egan, public relations manager, Procter & Gamble.
Cameron Poolman, CEO, GraysOnline said: “We are getting very strong interest in these types of auctions by small-medium businesses. These sales give smaller operators the opportunity to grow and upscale their businesses by acquiring very high quality equipment that they would not otherwise be able to afford to buy brand new.
“On average, buyers can save around 50-60 percent when compared to buying these items via other avenues. We anticipate strong interest and 100 per cent site clearance for this auction,” said Cameron.
