Australian Federation of International Forwarders (AFIF)
The Australian Federation of International Forwarders (AFIF) is the peak industry body in Australia representing organisations involved in the international air and sea cargo forwarding business in Australia.
Its activities include being a lobby group for its members in regard to regulatory issues affecting cargo security; quarantine matters and customs cargo reporting.
AFIF also provides a comprehensive range of training courses in both regulatory and non regulatory subjects for its membership and the industry and is accredited by various authorities to conduct training in matters of air cargo security and dangerous goods handling procedures.
AFIF has both local and international affiliations to enable it to network with other like industry bodies to coordinate and share information on matters such as industry standards and protocol.
AFIF has a corporate membership of around 180 companies representing over 400 branch offices in Australia.
